Ellen L. Elmore Wines

ZANESVILLE Ellen Louise Elmore Wines, 79, of Zanesville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday September 17, 2016 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House surrounded by her loving family.

Ellen was born in Zanesville on November 13, 1936 to the late Frederick Elmore and Juanita Stemm (Edward) “Shade” Anguish. Ellen worked at Kresges and Essex Wire for many years. She was an avid QVC Shopper and enjoyed ceramics.

She is survived by two sons: Robert (Barbara) Wines of Manvel, Texas and Rick (Kathy) Wines of Chandlersville, two daughters: Sheila (Raymond) Smith of Zanesville and Pam (Danny) Penrod of Malta, a brother Fred (Nancy) Thompson of Vienna, WV, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and a special caregiver Kathy Sharkey.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step father, three sisters: Dorothy Medley, Shirley McCloud, and Hilda Sheppard, and a grandson Dennis Allen Penrod.

Visitation will be from 11am -1pm Tuesday September 20 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will follow at 1pm in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff cemetery in Crooksville.
