Fieldhouse outdoor track free to all

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Fieldhouse is going through major improvement projects to their outdoor track.
The Zemba Family Trail opened two months ago and Fieldhouse owner Mick Amicone said they are seeing about 100 visitors to the track each day. Amicone also said the out door track and equipment is completely free.
“There has been a little bit of misconception in the community that you have to be a Fieldhouse member or a foundation participant to use the track. But this facility and the four-and-a-half acre campus, the Zemba Family Trail, all of its amenities, are absolutely no cost. Free of charge to anyone in Southeastern Ohio,†said Amicone.
There are four fitness stations on the track so that visitors can workout while outside. Amicone said two more will be added soon. One will have a universal gym and the other will feature CrossFit.
“Each of the six fitness stations have a certain element of utilization. Seniors, kids, the more fit. There is an elliptical, rower, climbing machines. And obviously the CrossFit station will be the highest level,†said Amicone.
The Fieldhouse will hold an open house on October 1st for their 28th anniversary. Amicone said prices will be rolled back to what they were in 1988, $1 a day.
