Local authors book fair
ZANESVILLE, Ohio -Â The John McIntire Library is hosting a local authors book fair this coming Saturday.
Fifteen authors from around the area will be in attendance to discuss and sign their books. Assistant Director at the library, Blair Tom, said there will be many diverse genres that those present will be able to choose from.
“There will be a great variety from science fiction to historical to non-fiction. Just a variety of genre’s and a great way to meet the local authors we have in the Muskingum County area,” said Tom.
The fair will be very beneficial for the authors, giving their books a lot of exposure to members of the community.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for them to get exposure. I think sometimes we are surprised people we know, that we did not know, wrote books. That’s important, and the library will be promoting its new local author’s section. We have organized what we have in the collection to a specific area on the second level of the main library,” said Tom.
All books will be available for purchase. The fair will take place this Saturday, September 24th, from 2pm-10pm, in meeting room B.
