Accident on Adair Avenue
A single car accident on Wednesday night shut down one block of Adair Avenue for about an hour.
The call came in just before 10pm. Zanesville Police Patrolman Kyle Brookover said that a gray Chevy Lumina was traveling east on Adair when the 24-year-old male driver from Zanesville, reached in the passenger seat to retrieve an item and lost control.
The car then struck a street sign at the intersection of Adair and Hazel Avenue, a tree and finally came to rest after breaking an electric utility pole.
The driver refused medical treatment and is believed to have only minor injuries.
Patrolman Brookover said the driver will be cited with failure to control pending further investigation.
