ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Three companies submit their best offers to the Muskingum County Commissioners Monday.

Muskingum County Engineer’s Office Administrative Deputy Matt Russell represented the companies. Russell presented bids to the commissioner for paving marking.

“Which is like striping of center lines and edge lines to the road,” Russell said. “We’re going to do three roads, Licking Road, Dillion Falls Road, and Dillion School Road. There was a safety audit that they did on these roads and we received a grant to upgrade the pavement markings on them.”

Russell said the bids ranged $44,000 to $51,000. Russell explained what the next steps are in the bidding process.

“We’re on a tight time frame because of the weather of course. And we have to jump through grant hoops. Hopefully, if it materializes this year which we hope it does it will be done here in the next probably month,” Russell said.

Russell hopes to get everything done by October 15th.
