Some Election Results Released
The Secretary of State has announced that no election results will be available until after all polls have closed tonight.
The problem arose as polls in Cincinnati and surrounding Hamilton County were ordered to remain open until 9pm under a judge’s order. Â Common Pleas Judge Robert Ruehlman made the decision in response to an emergency injunction filed by the marijuana legalization campaign ResponsibleOhio.
The group sought the extension, citing problems experienced throughout the day involving a new electronic check-in system.
The election board fought the extension.
All other polls in Ohio counties closed at 7:30pm.
Perry County has released numbers from absentee ballots.
