The Zanesville Police Department is investigating an accident on I-70 that looked worse than it turned out to be. Police say a semi tractor trailer was traveling east on I-70 in the Zanesville corporation limits during heavy rain, hydroplaned, turned sideways, slammed into a barrier and scooted across the bridges and stopped. The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency called the Ohio E-P-A after a large amount of diesel fuel was spilled as a result of the accident. Police cited the driver for failure to control. The eastbound lanes of I-70 were closed while the truck was pulled from the scene. The accident happened just after 12:30 a.m.  There were no injuries reported.
