House Fire on Ridge Avenue Under Investigation

 The Zanesville Fire Department said a fire on the corner of Brighton and Ridge Ave. Sunday night remains under investigation but were able to provide preliminary details.

The Zanesville Fire Department responded to the call just after 10 p.m. that evening and Chief Waltemire said the blaze was located on the first level of the house. There appeared to be a lot of smoke, but Waltemire said it only took about ten minutes to control.

There were no utilities connected to the house, which leads the department to believe it could be abandoned.

They completed a search for occupants, and found that it was empty. The Zanesville Fire Department was assisted by the Zanesville Police Department and Community Ambulance.
