Missing Children Found

Two missing children from Perry County return home safe to their mother. 

Around 9:20pm Tuesday the Perry County Sheriff’s Office received a call about two missing children. The pair had left the home in Rehoboth around 7pm and had not returned. 

Investigators were called to the scene and local fire and EMS departments, Perry County K-9 Officer Argo and the Ohio State Highway Patrol Aerial Division conducted a search of the area. 

Investigators learned the pair may have left with a relative whom frequents the Perry County State Forest. Sheriff’s Deputies located the relative’s vehicle and with the help of K-9 Argo located the relative and the juveniles who were uninjured.

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by members of the Junction City Fire Department, New Lexington Fire/EMS, Somerset Fire Department, Crooksville Fire Department, Genesis Community Ambulance, Roseville Police, Crooksville Police, Ohio Division of Sate Parks and the Ohio State Highway Patrol Aviation Division.
