New Concord Hosts Annual Christmas Parade
ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â Marching bands, Lights, and Galloping horses. That was the scene on the streets of the Village of New Concord.
Many folks are gathered together to participate the annual Christmas Parade. This parade consisted of dogs dressed as reindeer and people dressed as Santa’s helpers. As the parade marched on, kids on floats engaging the crowd.
“We loved it. This is our first year being out here. We had a wonderful time getting to see everybody. We had a good time,” said Amanda Roberts.
“It was absolutely marvelous. We liked the dogs really well, the therapy dogs,” said Donna Teetz.
You’ll never guess what the main attraction was. No. It was not Santa. Candy was the big crowd favorite Monday evening. Sweet treats won over everyone from the youngest to the eldest spectator.
“We really enjoyed it. The kids really had a lot of fun. There were a lot of very nice entries. It’s a nice community event,” said Misti Gebheart.
“We had a wonderful time we enjoyed seeing Santa and all the floats. I just thought it was a great event and looking forward to a great holiday season,” said Ashley Davis.
Following the parade, hot chocolate was served to help keep everyone warm.
