ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Barn hosted a benefit for a Zanesville native who was paralyzed in an accident earlier this year.

Back in February Michele Bryan-Wilson was involved in an accident where she was rear-ended by a distracted driver. The accident left her paralyzed from the sternum down. Benefit organizer and family friend Erin Ritchey said people from all around the state came out to support Michele.

“The community has been more than generous. We have a ton of items for raffle and family and friends. We have delicious food from the Barn. The Barn has been very generous to allow us to use the space,” said Ritchey.

There was raffles for donated items and live music from the Lucky Penny Sisters, which is one of Michele’s favorite bands. Everything raised will go towards helping Michele.

“She is doing well. Her condition unfortunately won’t improve. But she is in good spirits,” said Ritchey.

Ritchey thanks the community and the barn for all their support.
