Saint James Episcopal Church celebrates 200th anniversary

ZANESVILLE, OHIO-Â The congregation of Saint James Episcopal Church was first established in 1816.
For their 200th anniversary this year they celebrated with a jubilee service and a dinner.
“I think this place is very profound because of the proclaiming of the gospel,” said Robert E. Willmann, Rector at Saint James Church.  “The preaching of Jesus on caring for our brothers and sisters has raised up some of the most generous people who the city[Zanesville] has ever known.”
The jubilee service also featured some special music from a chamber orchestra.
Willmann said that he is so thankful for everyone coming out this evening. Â “I would like to say thanks to God, for the glory of this day and praise Jesus Christ for the people of Zanesville. Â May he always be praised. Â Amen.”
Willmann said that they had a lot of old faces come through this evening along with a lot of new faces.
