Bishops’ week 9 opponent forfeiting game

The Rosecrans Bishops are guaranteed playoff points for week 9 of the high school football season under unusual circumstances.

The Bishops’ opponent–Fostoria St. Wendelin–cannot field a full team due to injuries suffered over the first eight weeks. According to the BRHS athletic department, the Bishops and Mohawks will play one set of downs each and then St. Wendelin will forfeit its homecoming game. The downs will be played so Rosecrans is still eligible to earn playoff points.

An eight-on-eight scrimmage will be played thereafter.

Rosecrans will improve to 6-3 on the season with the win. The Bishops enter Friday’s slate of games ranked 10th in Division 7, Region 27.
