ZANESVILLE,Ohio- The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office is sporting pink in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness month.

All sheriff cruisers in Muskingum County are displaying pink decals to aid in the fight against cancer. The decal reads “Finish the Fight against breast cancer.” The decal also features a pink ribbon, which is the symbol for breast cancer awareness.

“It’s neat to see the support across the State of Ohio,” Muskingum County Sheriff, Matt Lutz said. “There are some sheriffs that have even gone as far as getting pink badges. We’ve even thought about getting pink door stars to put on during this time. Hopefully, we can take it to another step next year.”

Lutz explained why the sheriff’s office decided to support breast cancer awareness with the decals.

“Our job as law enforcers are to support our community. This was just another way of going a little more publicly with our support,” Lutz said.
