Cold Weather Drive in November

As the cold weather approaches a local organization collect warm garments for those in need.
Stratos Wealth Partners and Eastside Community Ministry’s Clothing Bank have joined forces to bring the community warm blankets, coats, hats, and gloves for the cold winter months. Stratos Wealth Partners, Co-Partner, Wayne Wycoff said the drive thru and drop off will be set up in Colony Centre Parking lot on November 12, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. to noon.
“We’ve been fortunate in the community with great support in starting our business and wanted to give back in some way,” said Wycoff. “For years we had supported Eastside Community Ministry’s, so we thought what could we do to give back to the community. ”
According to Executive Director, Jamie Trout, the Eastside Community Ministry’s  Clothing Bank help roughly 150 people per week and last years Cold Weather Drive provided about 400 garments to the community.
This is the second annual Cold Weather Drive and, Co-Partner Chad Tom says the community has shown support this year. All the businesses located at Colony Centre have decided to partake and sponsor this years event.
“We’re just excited you know to give back to the community,” said Tom. “You know, this community has always been so generous it doesn’t matter what the event the community always comes out whether it’s on a Wednesday night or a Sunday afternoon they come out and support every organization in this community.”
Trout said Eastside Community Ministry’s is accepting new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, and blankets. For more information on this event call the main office at (740) 452-7519.
