OBM Director Tim Keen Speaks at Zaneville Rotary Club

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â The Zanesville Rotary Club had a special guest speaker at Tuesday’s meeting.
Governor Kasich’s Chief Financial Officer Tim Keen stopped by the rotary meeting to discuss the financial budget for the 2016 fiscal year and update members about the duties of the Office of Budget and Management.
“I’m here to touch base with the rotary club about the State of Ohio’s finances. And to talk about the fact that we are in sound fiscal condition. Governor Kasich spend a lot of time making sure we have budgets have revenue cover, we are structurally balanced, or budgets are balanced. We’re here to let folks know that we’re going to continue to do that in the year,” said
Tim Keen.
Keen said this year his office is working on several things including a state capital improvement budget which will make capital improvements for state assets like Zane state, state parks, school facilities, and other state agencies.
“We are looking to be efficient and effective with tax payer dollars. And make sure we have solid serviced delivery for the essential government services that people need. But try to free up resources, cut taxes, and make Ohio an attractive place to do business,” said Keen.
While in town Keen toured the recently open Paul Brown Epic Center which was partially funded by capital appropriations from the State of Ohio.
