ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Guernsey County courthouse held their annual lighting ceremony Tuesday evening.

The Dickens Victorian Village was set up in downtown Cambridge, complete with mannequin scenes lining the streets, with the first of many light shows.

President of the Dickens Victorian Village, Ann Jones, said the light show is the main attraction.

“It’s a way to introduce to the people and start the whole Dickens operation that runs from now until January 1st,” said Jones.

The show starts at 5:30 p.m. and runs until 9:00 p.m. nightly. There are at least four different shows, each starting at the half hour.

Jones said people come from all over to see the show.

“Just today at the welcome center we had two couples; one from Pittsburgh and another from Erie, PA, and they say they come every year,” said Jones.

The Welcome Center also offers the option to dress up in the vintage victorian clothing.

This is the eleventh year for the Dickens Operation.
