ZDGA Prepares for it’s Annual Golf Show
The Zanesville District Golf Association is preparing for its annual show at Eagle Sticks Saturday.
The ZDGA Golf Show has been going on for nearly 25-years and is designed to bring all of the golf enthusiast together during the winter to have a good time while helping local golf courses get rid of merchandise from last season and raise money for a great cause.
"It gets everybody enthuse and excited because, not only are you getting together but, you get to try out the newest and latest equipment from Titleist, Mizuno and Wilson Golf and Callaway Golf will be here manufacture representatives and you’ll get to hit their new equipment into the nets behind me. So, the 2016 equipment that you’re watching everybody hit on t.v right now you’ll get to try out," Said Mark Durant, Head Golf Professional at Zanesville Country Club.
Steve Galloway said this event is Saturday from 11 a-m until 3 p-m with a $5 donation to attend and free for kids under the age of 18 that come with an adult. All proceeds from this event will go to the ZDGA Junior Golf Association for their summer programs and towards the amount of 6 scholarships for area senior high school golfers.
"We give away $1,500 to the 1st place scholarship, $1,000 to the 2nd place and $750 for 3rd place."
Galloway also said there will also be a silent auction.
