Logan Pennington is the son of Zanesville Firefighter Wesley Pennington. Logan is battling Wilms disease which is a form a cancer.

“A little two year old going through that, it’s hard not to feel for him and do what ever we can,” Zanesville Firefighter, Gregg Brocklhurst said. “We came up with this fundraiser for him. All the donations that we got from local businesses and residents has been out pouring. It’s great.”

ZFD held a spaghetti dinner benefit at Zaneville Middle School to help cover the medical and travel expenses. Many of Logan’s supporters wore “lions for Logan” shirts. ZFD is selling the shirts for $15. You can pick up a shirt at the Zanesville Fire Department during regular business hours.

“We have t-shirts also that have lions for Logan on the back of them and the Zanesville emblem on the front,” Brocklhurst said.
