Man Charged with Hit-Skip
A Coshocton man accused in the hit and run of a 9-year-old child last week faces charges.
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office said 40-year-old Kristopher S. McComb, a resident of Coshocton, was charged Tuesday with tampering with evidence. Additional charges are anticipated following review by the Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities said on February 3, Steven Hebert II was struck by McComb’s vehicle, who then fled the scene.
Hebert was taken to Coshocton County Memorial Hospital and then flown to Nationwide Children’s where he had surgery on his right leg. He has since been released from the hospital and is home.
The incident remains under investigation.
