Sheriff Lutz participates in 22 push up challenge

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- There’s another challenge that’s sweeping the nation and it’s now made it’s way to Muskingum County.
It’s the “22 Push up Challenge” for veteran suicide awareness. On Sunday, Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz received and accepted the challenge from Warren County Sheriff Larry Sims.
“There’s like 22 million suicides every year with our military and former military personnel,” Sheriff Lutz said. “A lot of those guys and gals struggle with PTSD.”
Sheriff Lutz said the challenge is to do 22 push ups a day for 22 days.
“Larry and Andrew [Larry’s son] actually increased the challenge. They’re adding one push up everyday. So on the 22nd day they should end up with 43.”
Lutz said the sheriff office will be posting videos of the challenge every five days. To see the sheriff complete the challenge visit www.facebook.com/muskingumcoso.
