Muskingum County Results
Muskingum County voters headed to the polls on Tuesday to elect two county commissioners.
Voters overwhelming chose Mollie Crooks and Cindy Cameron for the two seats.
Crooks defeated incumbent Democrat Jerry Lavy by over seven thousand votes, 20,879 to 13,778.
Republican Cindy Cameron keeps her seat as commissioner defeating Dale Phillips by over 9,000 votes, 21,549 to 12,575.
Cass Township saw their fire protection levy for .5 mills for five years pass 522 votes for and 212 against.
The Dresden Village streets and roads levy for 2 mills was defeated by over seventy votes, 289 for and 358 against.
The Jackson Township and both Licking Township Fire protection levies passed.
Licking townships streets and roads one mill levy for five years passed 646 votes to 548.
Muskingum County Children Services and Avondale Youth Center renewal levy for 2 mills for 10 years passed with 24,495 votes for and 11,316 against.
Newtown Townships additional streets and roads, and fire levy both passed.
The Rich Hill Township fire protection renewal levy 1 mill for 5 years passed by over one hundred and forty votes.
The South Zanesville Village fire protection levy won with 447 votes for and 170 votes against.
Washington townships fire protection levy 2.5 mills for five years also won and the Roseville Village renewal current expenses 4 mill for five years failed.
