Zane State College Hosts ‘College Goal Sunday’
The deadline for the federal financial aid forms is approaching and one local college is chipping in by providing free assistance to help towards the process.
Zane State College hosted it’s annual ‘College Goal Sunday.’ This program is an opportunity to help ease the stress for parents and students while they are filling out the FAFSA forms.
"It’s one of the biggest fears. Everyone is so afraid of filling out that FAFSA piece of it. We just think it’s nice for a community event just to help everyone. Come out, we answer questions, we’re there to help you with taxes. If you don’t have taxes we’ll answer all questions about your asset. Everyone needs to fill it out if you plan on going to college, what better way than to have somebody here to help you," said Stacy Bernard, Zane State College Financial Aid Adviser.
Zane State College will continue to host ‘College Goal Sunday’ each year, on the second Sunday in Febuary at 2 pm.
