Hall of Fame Veterans

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County Veterans Association will host a hall of fame induction ceremony this Friday at the Welcome Center.
This free event starts at 7 p.m. This year’s inductee’s are Bruce Barclay, Dennis Miller, John Graham, Willard Wheeler and Denny Taylor. We spoke to the 5 inductee about how it feel to be in the hall of fame.
“I usually go to this event when they have it,”US Army, Corporal Bruce Barclay said. “I’ve sat in the audience. I watched. I’ve seen the people that have been taken in. I’ve never thought someday that I would be one of them.”
“It’s a great honor to serve in the military and represent your country,” US Army Reserves Retired Major, John Graham said. “It’s a bigger honor that the public in Muskingum County has nominated me for this honor.”
“I feel honored for this opportunity today,” Retired Master Sergeant, Willard Wheeler said. Â “It’s just hard to really realize that it’s actually happening.”
“It’s kind of hard for me to even understand that I’m here,” Private First Class Denny Taylor said. “I’ll like to thank Terry Tysoner for nominating me. I want to thank all the people of Muskingum County and Zanesville Ohio. What a place to live.”
“It’s been a privilege for me to service our country,” US Navy Seabees Retired Army Sergeant, Dennis Miller said. “The military has been a tradition in the miller family.”
