Bill Named for Annie Glenn Passes in Ohio House Vote
A bill that seeks to raise awareness about communication disorders and recognize the wife of former U.S. Senator and New Concord native John Glenn has cleared the house.
In a house vote Wednesday the bill passed 94-0 on Annie Glenn’s 96th birthday. The measure would make February 17 "Annie Glenn Communication Disorders Awareness Day."
The bill would now go to the Senate for consideration.
Annie Glenn became a public speaker after going through a program to address her stuttering. She’s an advocate for others who have communication disorders.
