Draw for Dogs Poker Run

Dog lovers are joining together November 12, 2016Â to support the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center.
The Muskingum County Canine Advocates are joining up with the Angry Bull on Linden Avenue to host the Draw for Dogs Poker Run. Tori Hartman, a volunteer for the Adoption Center said there are many fundraisers happening throughout the year.
“We have a group, a committee that does fundraising for the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center,” said Hartman. “We just thought you know with the community, we have a lot of bikers around; Hey why not? Let’s just do it, roll with it and We’re going to incorporate a tailgate for the O.S.U. game.”
The donations raised during Draw for Dogs will go towards a new building so the volunteers and dogs can have an updated area.
“Gosh, it would benefit them immensely right now they’re in these tiny kennels, we don’t have enough kennels that are indoor [and] outdoor,” said Hartman. “We do not have enough cots to go that would fit into it so they’re laying on a wet cold concrete.”
Registration begins at 10:00 A.M. and Hartman said that if you are unable to attend the Poker Run, go to themcca.com for other ways to help.
