Muskies fall to Miami in exhibition play

OXFORD, Ohio – The Muskingum Fighting Muskies fell to Division I Miami University in men’s basketball exhibition play Friday afternoon, 84-57.

Miami led by just six points at halftime, 38-32, before pulling away.

Former Tri-Valley standout Marcus Dempsey earned his first taste of NCAA action, scoring four points on 2-of-10 shooting from the field.

The Muskies struggled from the floor the entire game, shooting just over 27 percent.

Muskingum opens up regular season play at home next Tuesday against Kenyon.
