Highway Patrol Sobriety Checkpoint Location

The Zanesville Post of the Highway Patrol has announced the location of this weekend’s Sobriety Checkpoint.  Lt Matt Boyd says it will take place tonight (Saturday) on the Maysville Pike between 9:00 pm and 12:00 am.  The South Zanesville Police Department and the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office will also take part in the event. The Checkpoint is funded by federal grant funds and is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.  The Checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat impaired driver-related injury and fatal crashes. Lt Boyd says if you plan to consume alcohol, designate a drive or make other travel arrangements before you drink.
