Nominations for Community Leadership Awards

Generosity of time, spirit, volunteers in Muskingum County, and have led a volunteer project are all qualifying traits for the next Community Leadership Award.

Muskingum County Community Foundation Council is accepting nominations for the Brian T. Wagner Community Leadership Award. President of the council, Matt Joseph said all nominees must be between the ages of 18 and 55.

“The Brian T. Wagner Award was created to honor and celebrate the ‘younger’ community within Muskingum County and to also encourage philanthropy within that younger community,” Joseph said.

The nomination deadline is Friday December 9, 2016 and the winner will be announced Friday January 27, 2017 during the 32nd Anniversary Groundhog Day Celebration at Zane State.

“The recipient also will have their name engraved on a plaque that will be permanently displayed down here at the community foundation and a $1,000 gift to the recipient’s selected non-profit,” said Joseph. “They will donate a $1,000 in their name.”
