The ‘Skins raced out to a 16-0 lead at halftime behind a monumental effort from senior Dallas Griffiths. The tight end and linebacker scored two touchdowns, recorded a safety and recovered a fumble to single-handedly account for 14 first half points.
Wheelersburg cut the lead to just four points in the third quarter after scoring 12 unanswered points on a pair of touchdowns, but Coshocton answered with two scores from senior running back Zach Michael to keep the Pirates at bay.
Next up for the ‘Skins is defending state champ Coldwater, who defeated Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, 35-21. All sites for state semifinal showdowns will be announced Sunday by the OHSAA.
