Two Car Accident At Newark Road and Melody Lane Intersection

Trooper Lanning of the State Highway Patrol said the accident happened around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Newark Road and Melody Lane.

A Pontiac Bonneville was heading eastbound on Newark road and went left to center and struck a red ford pickup truck that was heading westbound.

The male driver of the Bonneville was transported to Genesis Hospital by community ambulance. The details of the driver’s injuries are currently unknown at this time. The male driver of the pickup truck was treated at the scene with minor injuries.

There is currently no word on any citations. Newark road was closed in both directions for over an hour. Licking and Falls Township Fire and Genesis community ambulance also responded to the scene of the crime.
