House of Grace hosts 3rd annual Thanksgiving feast

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- House of Grace transformed their house of worship into a place to feast for thanksgiving.
Church members prepared the thanksgiving fixings to share with the community and their church family.
“We all pitch in,” Trish Hayhurst said. Everybody makes something for the Thanksgiving dinner. Then we all come together on Thanksgiving Day to spend it the people that need help for Thanksgiving or don’t have a place to go. They come in and we make them a meal. They get to sit at our tables and have Thanksgiving with us. We also make to go orders for people that aren’t able to get out. The members of our church delivered them.”
For three years House of Grace has opened their doors to the community to host a Thanksgiving meal.
“I love to see everyone’s smile,” Kayla Jackson said. “They are so grateful.”
“People come in they have kids with them, or they are elderly, or just normal people of the community that needs a place to have Thanksgiving. A lot of us don’t have big families. This is our community family. It’s more a gift to us than it is them. It’s a privilege to help them and get to meet all of them. It makes our Thanksgiving way better,” Hayhurst said.
“(It) makes us feel good,” Denise Pitts said.
