Green Wave falls to Cuyahoga Heights in D-VI final four

ORRVILLE, Ohio – Newark Catholic’s season came to a close in its 25th state final four appearance when the Green Wave fell to #2 Cuyahoga Heights Friday night in Orrville, 30-14.
The Green Wave trailed at the half, 20-7. A 24-yard Tanner Lake touchdown and the ensuing extra point cut the deficit to six points in the third quarter, but the Redskins kept Newark Catholic at bay in the fourth quarter to secure a state championship berth.
The Redskins will play Marion Local for the D-VI state championship next Friday at Ohio Stadium.
