Public input needed at Cool & Connected Program Workshop

ZANESVILLE, OHIO- Cool & Connected will be hosting their public workshop on Tuesday, December 6th, 2016.

Smart Growth America and Federal Partners will be visiting Zanesville and will be presenting a public presentation at the John McIntire Library Auditorium from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Stephen Holowicki, Redevelopment Administrator, City of Zanesville said that Cool & Connected will be discussing and exploring all the new and exciting ways to strengthen the communities economic future.

“Discuss revitalization of Main Street, different community development economic strategies, possible implementations of a long-range plan to do broadband or complete a broadband study for downtown,” said Holowicki.

Holowicki said that the plan for the city is the communities plan.  He said its important for the public to attend and let their voices be heard.

“We’re merely a conduit as a community development office to assist with that, but it’s really important for them to provide that public input to hear and feed that direction as far as what they want to see happen in downtown.”

Holowicki thinks that this will be a catalyst for the revitalization in downtown Zanesville.
