WMCO Celebrates ‘Radio Weekend’

WMCO celebrated it’s 9th Annual ‘Radio Weekend’ Saturday morning at Muskingum University.

The event called ‘Ticket Truck’ is a community-day event where local police and fire personnel were on site for community members to tour their emergency trucks and vehicles and also answer any questions. Chris Morgan said without the support from the community they wouldn’t be where they are today.

“Without everyone here on Muskingum University and in New Concord, WMCO wouldn’t exist. We see it a lot with college radio stations with different campuses selling the rights to the radio station just because they can’t afford it or they are in debt. But, at Muskingum we have this great situation where there’s really no debt anywhere with the campus so WMCO is not going anywhere right now,” said Chris Morgan, Program Director for WMCO.

WMCO wants to say thank you to their listeners in the community for supporting the college radio station.
