Wrong Way Driver Arrested for OVI

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A 24- year old Coshocton woman has been arrested for driving under the influence.

Around 2 a.m. Sunday Ohio State Highway Patrol received a 911 call of a driver driving the wrong way on Interstate 70. Troopers spotted the car near Airport Road traveling on the wrong side of the road. Troopers were able to get the car to stop near the I-70 rest area. Sergeant Jeffrey Jirles said the driver tested more than 2 1/2 times the legal limit for alcohol.

“The public’s willingness to make the 911 in this case may have saved someone’s life,” said  Sergeant Jirles.

The driver will be in Muskingum County Court later this week to face the charges against her.
