Ol’ Dirty Strangers to host 2nd annual music marathon at Oilers Sports Bar

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The for second year in a row a local band will hold a music marathon to benefit a local non-profit organization.
The event will feature Ol’ Dirty Strangers, Dr. Umbella and Hill Bound Gypsys to name a few. All proceeds will benefit Hope to the Rescue.
“It’s going to be a great day with raffles and auction items,”Ol’ Dirty Stranger, Public Relation Manager, Paul Quinn said. “Many local businesses have chipped in to support this event. It’s going to be a great time for a worthy cause.”
“This isn’t just about our band,” Ol’ Dirty Strangers, Singer, Chaz McClure said. “It’s about Hope to the Rescue. It’s about this great community. There’s also a lot of artists and musicians in this community. We look to support them [and] small businesses. This is really just about the Zanesville community in general.”
The event will take place at the Oilers Sports Bar on Saturday, December 10th. Admission is $15 or $5 with the donation of $10 worth of non-perishable foods, hygiene products, or winter clothing items. Hope to the Rescue, Director Cheryl Coles shared how it felt to be chosen to receive all the proceeds from this event.
“I couldn’t believe with all places in the community they took part in our mission,” Coles said. “And you’re really super blessed when you’re chosen for things like this. Especially when there are so many other organizations to chose from.”
Last year’s event raised nearly $3,000 for Lifewell Youth Ministry.
