ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local business is fundraising for a good cause.
Winerak is hosting a golf outing for the Muskingum County Canine Advocates. On June 4th Winerak will host a 4 man scramble at Crystal Springs Golf Course. The cost is $60 per person which includes a game of golf, access to a golf cart, snacks, food, and more than fifty-teen beer samples. Winerak Owner Mike Alfman said Muskingum County is a generous community.
“It’s just important for the local people to get together when there’s a need. And come together and support whatever that need it. Right now the dog pound is in need of funds and the group has come together to make that happen,” said Alfman.
The Muskingum County Dog Pound is also in dire of volunteers.
“On Saturdays, we are looking for people to come out and help walk the dogs. It’s a great way to get exercise and it’s a lot of fun. It’s just a great way to spend your Saturday morning,” said Alfman.
The deadline to register for the golf outing is May 25th. If you are interested in volunteering at the pound contact the Muskingum County Dog Pound at (740) 453-0273.
