Cake Auction Deadline Approaching

The 30th annual Carr Center Cake Auction is just two weeks away.

It’s that time of year again to satisfy your sweet tooth, while helping out a great cause. If you’re unable to participate, Carr Center Executive Director, Kim Hosler, said there’s another opportunity to donate.

“We have the donor board again this year, it is for those people who didn’t have the opportunity to get into the auction to bring in a cake, or to be a buyer, or a bidder, but they want to participate to support the carr center,” Hosler said.

Hosler said last year’s donations went toward youth scholarships and other beneficial programs. Nearly 300 entries have already been submitted, but they’re hoping to reach 400 this year.

“We have a lot people that are wanting to participate, I think it’s going to be one of our biggest events for quite a number of years, so we’re really looking forward this, but I have to say it’s just an expression of love that the community has for the Carr Center,” Hosler said.
