The Community Nativity Project unveiled Saturday

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- More than 100 people participated in the Community Nativity Project.
For three days the community came together to make a nativity scene with clay. Both novice and experienced artists were encouraged to participate and create pieces.
“We wanted people to be able to experience art whether you have had clay years ago or have never touched it,” Immanuel Church-Christ Outreach Coordinator, Hillary Hendricks said. “[And also] to have an opportunity to do something creative.”
The community nativity scene features more than 160 clay figures. This Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. The clay nativity scene will be unveiled at Seilers Studio and Gallery on 7th Street.
“It’s free and open to the public. We do have a Facebook page called the story night that you could RSVP. So we could know how much hot chocolate to get,” Hendricks said.
“We will have food, songs, and read the Christmas story. [We’re] inviting anyone, even if you didn’t make something. You could come and see the finished art piece,” Hendrick mentioned.
Hendricks said parking will be available at Immanuel church. To RSVP, visit www.facebook.com/events/545594642303414/
