County Commissioners Receive Thanks
The Muskingum County Commissioners received thanks for their support of an Ohio organization.
Jody Wilkins with the Jobs for Ohio’s Graduate program brought letters of thanks to the commissioners for their support of the Career Development Contest in March. The commissioners presented medals and certificates of recognition to those participating in the event. Wilkins said it’s an honor to have support from the local government.
“It’s encouraging because I think the youth need to see that their community cares about them and that the commissioners care about what they’re doing and encourages their success,” said Wilkins.
The organization helps students to stay in school and become successful after graduation.
“We teach them work skills while they’re in school and then help them after graduation to make sure they’re successful in whatever that might be, whether that’s college, military, or job after high school,” said Wilkins.
Wilkins said she hopes to see the commissioners every year.
