Darlene Kay Green, 72, of East Fultonham, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 9, 2025. She passed peacefully in her home.

She was born on October 10, 1952, in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles Green and Eunice Randles Waugh, and the stepdaughter of the late Gertrude Green and the late Carl Waugh.

Throughout her life, Darlene poured her heart into everything she did — from her work at Longaberger Baskets, to teaching kindergarten and first grade, to sharing her passion for art through classes, shows, and galleries. Whatever the role, she approached it with creativity, dedication, and a deep love for the people around her. Above all, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, baker, gardener, artist, and friend. She was known for her kind words, warm smile, loving hugs, and thoughtful gifts. Darlene listened with her heart, loved deeply, and created some of the most meaningful and heartfelt art gifts imaginable.

She is survived by her children, Steven (Sheree) Dailey, Kevin (Amber) Dailey, Chad (Bambi) Dailey, and Tessa (Jeremiah) Irwin; stepchildren, Sara (Robert) McMahon and Bryan Richardson; grandchildren, Taylor Dailey (Chris Caldwell), Samuel Dailey, Alyssa (Bradley) Kisseberth, Levi, Leah, Emily, Lucy, Aubree, Naomi, Jonathan, Sydney, Benjamin, and Nicolas Dailey, Trenton and Lillian Allen; great-grandchildren, Dallas and Denver Caldwell; sisters, Karen (Joe) Paris and Lorena Fraser; stepsister, Wanda (Bob) Harkins; stepbrother, Fred (Beth) Waugh; her beloved cat, Maggie; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Green Jr., Dwight E. Green, and Richard A. Randles; stepsisters, Fran Hall, Cheryl Giebel, and Tina Brown; and stepbrothers, Ed Bentley and Russell Bentley.

Her life was a beautiful testament to love, kindness, and faith. While she will be missed beyond measure, her family takes comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior — whole, restored, and walking with two strong legs in Heaven.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 6:00 PM, on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, with Paul Latiolais officiating.

The Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave., Zanesville, is in charge of arrangements. To share memories and condolences with Darlene’s family, please visit www.BryanHardwickFH.com.
