Fourth and Final Open House for the City of Zanesville Comprehensive Plan

The comprehensive plan was created in order to guide the future growth and development of the city of Zanesville. The plan is compromised of community facilities, arts and culture, parks and recreation, housing, transportation, economic development, downtown historic districts, and land use.
The result is a plan that provides strategic goals and policies for how these elements can advance and help improve the future of Zanesville.
“I like to think of the comprehension plan as a vision, or a beacon to investors and businesses, along with individuals who are considering to visit or stay here,†said Jay Bennett, Public Service Director for the City of Zanesville.
The open house was created so that the comprehensive plan could be exhibited to the public, and that they could comment on the plan.
“I was excited about that, there was a lot of great questions over the past four events,â€
Bennett said that they are still taking in comments from the public up until June this year.
He also said that the exhibit used during the open houses would be publicly staged at different locations within the community in the near future.
