Longtime Muskingum County OSU Alumni Club President Passes Away

ZANESVILLE, OH – A longtime educator and President of the Muskingum County OSU Alumni Club has passed away.

Terry Kopchak passed away on Monday at the age of 71.

He graduated from THE Ohio State University in 1976 with his BS in Education and then again in 1980 with his Masters in Educational Administration.

He went on to have a 44 year long career in education, serving in a number of roles from teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent. He was also employed as an educational consultant as well as college instructor and coordinator.

Kopchak was the most proud of the OSU Alumni Club’s Scholarship Program, which annually provides thousands of dollars to Muskingum County Students headed to OSU.

Visitation will take place on Saturday Oct. 25th at 11AM with services to follow at 1PM at the Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home in Zanesville.
