Alida “Alie” Lingerak

Alida “Alie” A.M. Lingerak, 92 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on October 24, 2025, at the Genesis Morrison House of Zanesville.
She was born on July 26, 1933, in Heemskerk, Netherlands, daughter of the late Laurentius Johannes Rijs and Margaretha Maria De Ruijter. Alie moved to the United States with her family in 1982. She attended St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Zanesville and was a homemaker. She enjoyed walking, reading, and gardening. Alie was a people person and loved helping and visiting her neighbors and friends. Above all, she enjoyed her time taking care of her grandchildren and the ones she loved.
Alie is survived by her 3 children, Cees (Sheldene) Lingerak of Rockbridge, Margaret Roessler of Hopewell, Corrina Davis of Zanesville; 8 grandchildren: Jason, Andrew, Leanne, Brandon, Stacey, Ryan, Dylan, Sydney; 7 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Wilhelmus H.N. Lingerak; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Alie can be sent to Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville (2951 Maple Ave. Zanesville, Oh 43701).
A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
