The Night of One Acts at the Renner Theatre

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Renner Theatre in downtown Zanesville is presenting The Night of One Acts for one night only.
The Junior Theatre Committee has produced two one-act plays which is set to take the stage on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. For $20 you get to see “Alicia in Wonderland Inc.” which is co-directed by Hayden Weck and Jackson Mount, and “Scrooge One Year Later” co-directed by Alaina Roberts and Lexie Geyer. Both shows serve as learning opportunities for their fledgling directors.
“It’s very interesting seeing the other side of the entire ordeal. Learning how lights are set up, how to set up the, well, set so that the audience has a clear understanding of what is going on. As this is a black box show, we can’t really rely on paintings of sets or walls or anything so we really need the props to showcase where exactly we are,” Weck said.
Show directors Weck and Roberts both have a a love of the Renner Theatre and are excited to be a part of it’s history.
“It’s been so awesome. I use to be at the Renner when I was younger and now I get to come back to that for my senior year and I have loved every second of it. I love all the people at the Renner, I love my castmates and it’s just been amazing,” Roberts said.
You can learn more or get your tickets to the Night of One Acts on TheRenner.org. Admission includes show themed drinks and desserts for each show.
