PAWS of Muskingum County Annual Holiday Auction
Interviewed by WHIZ Sports reporter Gabe Hutton

ZANESVILLE, Ohio—PAWS of Muskingum County held its annual holiday auction Saturday at the Welcome Center in downtown Zanesville.
This event raises money for the organization which helps pet owners provide their animals with the care they need.
The event included a silent auction and raffles, all for a good cause.
Director of Fundraising for Paws, Tammy Jones stated, “Well. It’s wonderful. It’s, I think we have places to put, and take care of dogs who need help, but we don’t really have just a specific one for cats. So, this, it makes me feel good that they are recognizing the fact that we do have an overpopulation problem in, Muskingum County and, we need to do something about that.”
The auction was a smashing success, as the community came at every hour to bid and show support and PAWS was thrilled to see others share the passion that drives them.
Tammy Jones added, “You know, we are 100% volunteer and, we put literally thousands of hours into this. And we also just reached our 10,000 spay and neuter thing. So that’s pretty incredible for a nonprofit.”
