Wilfried Nancy Leaves Crew for Celtic

COLUMBUS, OH – The Columbus Crew confirms weeks-long speculation that manager Wilfried Nancy is headed across the pond to take on the same role with Celtic Football Club in Scotland.
During his time with the Crew, Nancy led the club to new heights, including an MLS Cup in 2023 as well as a Leagues Cup title in 2024.
He finishes with the third-most managerial wins in club history with 69 over his four years in Columbus, and now begins a two and a half year deal with one of Scotland’s most successful clubs after the Crew’s agreed transfer for an undisclosed fee.
Nancy brings some of his coaching staff with him, including assistant coach Kwame Ampadu, assistant and fitness coach Jules Gueguen, and video performance coach Maxime Chalier.
The Crew’s checklist this offseason will now include a search for a new manager.
