Juvenile Dies in Fairfield Co. Crash

A one vehicle fatal crash in Fairfield County is under investigation by the Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol.

Troopers reported the crash took place on State Route 188 in Pleasant Township in Fairfield County around 9:15 Monday night.

Authorities said 31-year-old Natasha J. Anderson, of Lancaster, was traveling west on the roadway when her 2003 Dodge Caravan went off the right side of the road, struck an embankment, overturned and struck a utility pole.

Troopers said a juvenile passenger was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at Fairfield Medical Center. Anderson and three other juveniles were also transported to Fairfield Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers report that safety belts and equipment were not in use and drugs and/or alcohol use is suspected.

Pleasant and Greenfield Township Fire and EMS along with Troopers from the Lancaster Post of the Highway Patrol responded to the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
