Eastside will host a Chair-ity Auction

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Eastside Community Ministries is holding their Second Annual Chair-ity Auction during the Hearth, Home, and Away Show at the Colony Square Mall and this year they’re doing it in memory of someone special to them.
Last year they held their first Chair-ity Auction and it ended very successfully and this year’s auction is starting off well with about 50 entries donated by various businesses throughout Muskingum County.
The Chair-ity Auction all began when the late Audrey Foster went to Eastside Community Ministries and suggested her idea for the auction.
“We were searching for the perfect fundraiser for [Eastside Community Ministries] and we had our first one last year,” Executive Director Jamie Trout said. “We had 54 entries and raised around $10,000. So this is our second year and Audrey Foster has passed away so we are putting this in memory of Audrey.”
The Chair-ity Auction will have sealed bids on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. and Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. A live auction will also be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. with Sheriff Matt Lutz.
“Our goal is to always bring in more money; the money helps to support all the programs at [Eastside Community Ministries] our Emergency food pantry, our clothing bank, and our after school all-year-round youth program,” Trout said. “So we’re just looking for more entries and to bring people in.
